The NBA has not exactly been the most political of all organizations. Aside from a couple players here and there throughout the past, there has never really been a political stand of any sort. I was actually very impressed, proud, and exhilarated that these high paid athletes put good use to their fame and influence. In their upcoming game they will be wearing these specially jerseys to display their belief on the upcoming issues towards AZ state. They are going to be paying homage to the diversity and more specifically the great latino players that are part of the league.
Hey! I saw some videos of the people this...here is a link. It's a short one but it says it all in a nutshell. It is a great thing these "los Suns" Arizona players are doing. Well at least for what they believe is the right thing and the just and equal thing to do...This just got me thinking and wanting to know how the actually Arizona citizens are acting to this. I know that people from the town I come from in Eastern Washington, do not all support such things as the May 1st march because they are scared of what the consequences might be.
ReplyDeleteHere is another video that relates to this that shows the good point on how this new bill is going to enable racial profiling and also be unfair to those who do not carry their documentations on them.
